BILL ERWIN

BILL ERWIN William F. "Bill" Erwin, 68, of Las Vegas, passed away quietly May 1, 2016, at Desert Springs Hospital. Bill was born Jan. 6, 1948, in Hayden, Colo., to Lemuel and Virginia Erwin. Bill was a caring father, son, and friend. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Always concerned with the well-being of those he loved, Bill gave up a career in the oil industry, a career which took him to locations such as Norway, Egypt, and Colombia, and moved to Las Vegas to raise his son and have a stable family. There, he started in the concrete industry and eventually owned and operated several of his own construction companies. He took his work as seriously as he took his vacation, often traveling to Alaska to go deep sea halibut and salmon fishing. Bill was also a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel. He is survived by his son, Will Erwin; mother, Virginia Erwin; and companion of 11 years, Caroline Steveson. Memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, May, 27, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
