Billie Pollock Obituary

BILLIE JO POLLOCK Billie Jo Pollock, of Las Vegas, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She had been comforted by family and was surrounded by numerous family members and close friends during her final days in the family home. She was born Nov. 28, 1962 in Las Vegas and attended Bonanza High School, graduating in 1981. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Kenneth Dayton; her beloved mother, Sandra Lee Mitchell; and stepfather, William Mitchell. Billie Jo is survived by her daughter, Jessica Lee Pollock; her son, John Charles Pollock V; her former husband, John Charles Pollock IV; and her grandchildren, Beau Zachary Morrow and Scott Abrey Bradley. Those who called Billie Jo a friend, indeed had a friend forever. Although the youngest sister, she was a warrior and constant defender of her children, grandchildren, and two older sisters. In addition to Las Vegas, she has extended family in Fresno, Calif. and Salt Lake City. Services are private. As she wished, a family gathering including her family and close friends is to be scheduled to honor her memory.

To the family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Billie Jo.I was "Aunt" Laurie to her for a long while. She was a very compassionate and caring woman. Back in 2007 before my Mom passed, Billie Jo would come over often after work to sit with her until I got home from work. She had a great sense of humor, and was a good friend. God thought best to call her Home now. Her job here on earth is done, and as believers in Jesus we will see her again. May God fill your hearts with comfort, and Faith.I thank you Billie Jo and Love you.

The words "I'm so sorry" seem so inadequate for the depth of feeling this loss brings. May your memories of her bring you comfort and may you find a place in your hearts where you smile instead of cry when you think of her.
