Cathleen Chow Obituary

CATHLEEN CHOW May 14, 2010, Cathleen "Cathee" Helen Chow peacefully left this world and joined the next. Cathee is survived by her husband, Robert M. Chow; five children, Christopher and his wife, Jenell, and Jennifer, Lizzie, Chelsea and Dima; and nine grandchildren. Cathleen was the daughter of Geraldine and Betram Bauer. Her grandmother, Helen Herr, was the first woman elected to Nevada State Senate. Cathee was an amazingly beautiful and compassionate woman, whose mission in life was to help all in need. She was an active member in Regina Hall, which was a home for troubled young girls. At home, Cathleen was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She often took in children not her own. Her embrace and laughter was an antidote to any ailment one possessed. With her passing, the world will never be the same. Cathleen is now in the company of her late daughter, Gerribeth Chow; and her brother, Victor W. Bauer. Ceremonies will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Lamb Missionary Baptist Church, 500 N. Lamb Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89110. The family is requesting any donations be made payable to Robert Chow, 8301 Cedar Mesa Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89149, for the future care of the four grandchildren, whose sole guardians are Cathee and Bob.
