I'll always remember the Christmas time prank of re-locating the monkey. I think it was a monkey! And, I remember walking past his table at Caesars Palace and he would wink at us. I am sorry to hear of Charlies loss and express my sympathies.

My condolences to Charlie's family. Charlie will always hold a special place in my heart, in my family's heart also. Charlie was a co-worker and very dear friend for many years to my dad, Joe Vitale. When my dad was in the hospital and hospice, Charlie would visit him frequently. Charlie is a very special soul. God Bless all of you and may memories you shared come to bring you comfort soon.
Sincerely,
Cindy Vitale-Bushey

Uncle Charlie was always there when we needed him. I have such fun memories of him and Aunt Loye and all of our cousins. You all have been such a good example to me and have blessed my life. I am happy that Uncle Charlie is seeing loved ones - especially Marci and Brad. I know he had a big reunion with so many people he loved. Thank you Uncle Charlie and Aunt Loye for being such great examples.

Charlie called me recently and it was such a surprise to hear from him. I am glad that he reached out to me as we had such a nice time catching up and sharing memories of Brad. I am at peace knowing that he is with Brad and Marci...

What an honor it was to be a neighbor and friend of Charlie. Charlie's knowledge of the LDS faith and his incredibly strong testimony were nothing short breath taking. To listen to Charlie teach a Sunday school class left all present captivated. To experience him giving someone a personal blessing would leave all present with tears in the eyes. He lived our faith like few men are able to do. Charlie you touched my life and helped me in more ways than I can list. I will miss you and miss our talks on our faith, history, and baseball. Thank you Charlie

I am a checker at Smith's and just a month ago I found Charlie in my line. He came all the way up to my store to say "Hi" but of course I know it now to say "Good-bye." I would see Charlie in the Temple buying a cookie, haha. I have loved Loye and Charlie for so many years. Thank you Heavenly Father for having the Dimitt's in our life because they have all added to our lives. Thank you Dimitt Family. I will miss you Charlie!

My grandfather was the most loving, intelligent, funny man I have ever know. Always looking to him for advice and support in my everyday life. He touched the lives of everyone he knew. He always told the most awesome stories. He will be missed but never forgotten. Love you grandpa

I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie at softball. He touched both me and my daughter. He was such a wonderful man and I'm honored that I had the pleasure of being a part of his life even if it was for a short time. You are now seated at the right hand of the father. My prayers go out to all your family. You were a great dad and grandfather. You will be missed by many. Rest in the sweetest of peace.

When I was serving as Bishop of the 15th/Mountain Vista ward, Charlie was our home teacher......and a great friend. I was still working as a construction electrician, and needed the house trim painted. I came home on several nights (long hours) and found Charlie on a ladder, painting my trim, by hand. They don't get ANY better than Charlie Dimitt!

Charlie and I go back a long ways. I really enjoyed the few years that I was their home teacher and the many trips we made to the St. George temple together on Tuesdays in the summers. I will always love him for his kindness and interest in me and his support during my divorce. I tried to visit him every time that I came to Las Vegas. Thank you Charlie for the memories.
