CHARLES ZEMP Obituary

CHARLES "AL" ZEMP Charles Alfred "Al" Zemp passed away peacefully Aug. 6, 2017, in his Las Vegas home. "Al" as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was known for his sense of humor, keen wit and dashing good looks. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish. Al cherished his annual Father's Day camping trips with his sons and grandson as well as his annual visits to Houston for Thanksgiving with his daughters and their families. Al was born Aug. 30, 1931, in Missoula, Montana, to Glennys and Charles E. Zemp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Zemp; father, Charles Zemp; and his mother, Violet Zemp. He is survived by his loving children, Teresa Lewis and her husband, Myron, Scott Zemp and his wife, Kyle, Kathy Wilburg and her husband, Rick, Susan Buswell and her husband, Rick, and Charlie Zemp and his wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Sarah Boly and her husband, Adrian, Aaron Lewis, Meagan Zemp, Dr. Rachel Lewis, Michelle Zadok and her husband, Jonathan, Kristopher Zemp, Zoe Zemp, Zane Zemp and Tiffany Petty; and great-grandchildren, Allie Zadok, Remington Boly and Cimerron Malta. He also survived by his sister, Beverly Sellers of Prescott, Arizona; and his brother, George Vehrs. Al was a proud veteran having served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was an exceptionally talented brick mason and always had a good story to share about the interesting people he met in his line of work. Al was a good friend and mentor having taught his sons and grandsons his trade and craft. His wisdom, gentle spirit and desire to share fun times will be missed by all. Services to be held at a later date.

To Al Zemp's family we here at Winterwood Village send our deepest sympathy. Al was one of a kind always joking and sharing his life story with those in the office. He was such a special person and will be missed by us all. Rest in Peace our dear friend.

To Al Zemp's family: our deepest sympathy and most sincere prayers for peace and strength to all of you.

Gary worked with Al many times and enjoyed every day they spent together. Al regaled me with funny tales, jokes and anecdotes until my ribs were sore from laughing.

He was truly one of a kind. Swift flight to the angels, our friend.

Love and prayers, the Bradley family, Gary, Nancy, Chuck and Jon.
