So sorry to read about Chris' death. He and Grace were friends of ours. I heard about his death from other hunters on a hunting website today and called another friend to confirm. He will be sorely missed by all of us. Vaughn Gourley

Its been said that you should never meet your hero's in person as they will never live up to your expectations. Well my experience with Chris was very much the opposite! Having been a taxidermist and hunting guide myself I've heard many stories about Chris and his brothers. When I had the opportunity to meet Chris we hit it off right from the start. What I found was not only one of the great adventurers the world has seen but a very kind and beautiful man . He will be missed but never forgotten

My uncle's smile was always genuine and from the heart. He knew Kings, Princes, Presidents, Astronauts, Entertainers as well as the people next door or down the street. He made all feel welcome. His work in animal conservation made him a man of the world. To me he was Uncle Chris - a man who will remain in my heart forever.
