Love. It is something that will never end. I will always love you and I am comforted knowing that you will live in the peace of heaven. I will never forget the laughs and the smiles we exchanged through the years. I loved looking forward to skying you with grandpa and hearing all the nice things you had to say. I look at these pictures of you and I am happy that you left with so many great memories and the tears that fall from our cheeks represent all the loving memories and times that we all spent with you. You are not just family, but you were a friend. I could come to you with anything and I am proud of the man you were. I love you so much. You truly were a soldier, despite the things that you have went through you were strong and that's what we will always remember. I love you and heaven will treat you well. No more pain, that's a good life. No more tears or hurt. The best part is that one day I will be blessed to see your face again. I love you uncle.

Dave was my Chief, mentor and friend in West Berlin. We came toegether by chance, the assignment paired one Chief Master Sergeant and one Senior Airman together to run a budget office, I was fortunate to be that Airman. Dave & Linda invited my family into theirs and were God Parents to my first daughter. Although they never met my second daughter they included her on every gift and every card they sent throughout so many years. My family will cherish the years of memories since Dave & Linda first came into our lives.

I don't think I've ever met a more beautiful couple than Dave and Linda; they completed each other so perfectly. My heart breaks for the pain Dave's loss will cause all of those that loved him or were fortunate enough to be counted among his friends. There has never been a finer, kinder or more gentle soul.

It's so difficult to believe that David has reached the end of his journey here on this earth so soon. We're comforted by the fact that the kindest and most generous person we have known during our lives is in a better place now. David touched many other lives as well as ours. Our condolences to Erlinda and the entire family.
