Dayna Ahern Obituary

Dayna Lynn Ahern, 20, a student of the fashion merchandising industry, continued her journey and left this physical world March 30, 2006. Dayna was a full-time student at the Fashion Institute here in Las Vegas, and also worked at Jessica McClintock in the Fashion Show Mall. She was a native Las Vegan, born Sept. 6, 1985. Dayna had a passion for learning that earned her an associates degree from the famed Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She loved watching movies, playing games, shopping and finding amazing restaurants. Her passion for music and her vocal talent has given her opportunities like singing for the Pope at the Vatican and traveling with her high school choir group around the country and Europe. She loved her two kitties, Tinkerbell and Pixie, and she always had time to devote to her friends. She had a keen and natural eye for fashion and had planned a long career in fashion design and purchasing. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had strong spirituality that guided her through a beautiful life. She is survived by her mother, Jan Ahern; father, Don Ahern; stepmother, Carolyn Ahern; brothers, Evan and Ryan Ahern; uncle, Gary Willingham; stepbrother, Carl Radomski; and her extended family, Tammy, Sevanna, Catherine, Tiffany, Katrina, and Loly Ahern, and Hilary Green. She was loved limitlessly and unconditionally by every one of her family members and all of her many friends. Her life, although brief, was full and vibrant. She was known for being happy, full of joy, excited for the future, and having a unique zest for life that few possess. She will be missed more than any sentiment could represent and her memory will never fade in our hearts and minds. She leaves us all with fond memories and reminds us to enjoy life's journey. A viewing will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 3. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. The family requests any donations be made in Dayna's honor to The Blind Center of Nevada at 642-6000.
