He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services are pending. Donations may be made to the UNLV Music Department.

I just found out today that Dr. Stoermer passed away. My condolences to his family. Doc used to play trombone and guitar in my big band at the Musicians' Union. He was also a wonderful doctor who would get right to the problem. After the Musicians' Union Hall was moved to a much smaller venue, I lost touch with many musicians, including Doc, but I thought of him often. He was a great guy! May he rest in peace.

A wonderful community minded family apparently. Dr C. Stoermer has treated our family for years & we are so thankful for his integrity.
Thank You for the services from all of the Stoermer's as now there is more music in Heaven.

I had the distinguished pleasure of working with "Doc" as a member of the Vegas Valley Legacy Concert Band and Swing Band. He always had the greatest of affection for the members of the group and was so very proud of his family. He gave everything his all. There was no light commitment to anything that he did and his wealth of friends have been greatly blessed by knowing him. Our sincerest prayers of comfort go out to his family. Music was more than a passion for "Doc". It was a means to draw people closer and share in his joy. We are all the poorer at his passing and hope to live the example that he was to us. He indeed was a great man who left a Legacy for us to remember and honor.
