Eunice Ickes

Eunice Ida Ickes, 92, of San Rafael, Calif., died July 6, 2003 of natural causes at her home in San Rafael. Eunice was the mother of three, grandmother of 3 and great-grandmother of seven. She was well known in Marin County, Calif. in the arts of oil painting and stained glass. She was 80 when she began painting. Her artistry is hanging on the walls of friends and family members throughout California and Nevada. Eunice was a civil service operator during WWII and a successful real estate agent in Napa and Las Vegas. She is survived by her sons, Larry of Larkspur, Calif., Howard of Las Vegas, and Richard of Chico, Calif. Her many friends at the Parnow Friendship House in San Rafael will miss her greatly. Visitation was held Friday, July 11, at Brusie Funeral Home, Chico, Calif. Graveside will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Glen Oaks Memorial Park at Midway and Hegan Lane, Chico, Calif.
