I was a friend and a classmate. I always thought of her over the years and maybe only ran into once or twice after we graduated. We had a great time in high school and she had the greatest laugh. I guess I never forgot the good times because I never stopped asking about her over the years. Rest in Peace Jackie.

I first met Jackie in 1978 when I was hired to be the Chief Psychologist at the Jean Hanna Clark Rehabilitation Center. I did my first work comp case with Jackie, nurse Cindy and Higgy, the vocational rehabilitation counselor. The four of us even did a client home visit. We had a few libations after the home visit and continued to work on cases together until I left the rehab center in 1989. I had a mountain cabin in Old Town close to where Jackie lived and would enjoy dinners, cocktails and fun discussions with her and our respective family members.

I did not see much of Jackie in the later years but we would, now and then, contact each other to share the memories of old times and how our families were doing.

I deeply mourn her passing and regreat not thanking her enough for her education and guidance about work comp claims as well as her friendship and insight about life in general!

She will be missed by me and I will pray daily, as I do for other deceased family members and friends, for the repose of her soul. When it is my time to pass over to the other side I know she will greet me with her radiant smile and warm and accepting manner.

God bless her family in their mourning.

Dear Jackie,

I am heartbroken that you have left us, and so sorry I was not able to say Good-Bye in person, and, it seems, I have been unable to say Good-Bye even since that sad day. I am grateful that we were able to share time together at Thanksgiving -- your Poinsettias are still bright and vibrant and a constant reminder of You and your thoughtfulness. I will always be especially Grateful that we were Grandmothers together and shared such Special Moments talking about and watching "Our Girl", as you would always call "Our Gabrielle"! She grew up right before our very eyes and brightened our lives in an indescribable way, and yet, you and I just naturally understood how wonderful it was for the other. She just connected us, and the two of us have always been in wonder at being so Blessed with such a Precious Granddaughter! I will always remember and laugh at us when we tried so hard to fix "little" Gabrielle's hair and makeup according to the last-minute change in the Cheer Team requirements when Christina happened to be out of town! We Loved Our Granddaughter, but we could NOT do hair! I will Treasure that memory and others even more and I will Treasure Christina and Greg for bringing us and Our Families Together!

Christina and Gabrielle, I cannot begin to describe how sorry and deeply saddened I am most especially for you, and for all who knew and Loved Your Mother and Grandma! The words just do not come, but my Heart is so heavy for you. I am so grateful that Greg is there for each of You and for Your Family and for All of Our Family -- and I Embrace the Ozunas with My Heart and Love!

Becky and Marsha, I offer my deep and sincere condolences to you and I hope you find comfort in knowing and remembering that Sisters Are Forever and that Jackie will be with you Always. May you find Strength and Laughter in those Memories that only Sisters Share!

To Christina, Gabrielle, Greg, and ALL of Jackie's Beloved Family and Friends, to all of us who are still spinning and aching, may each of you, may we all, find Great Comfort during this time of sadness and in the days ahead in knowing that SHE LOVED US, EACH AND ALL, WITH HER VERY BEST and that HER LOVE IS IMMEASURABLE!

Good-Bye for Now and Good Journey, Jackie, Thank You for the Love and the Memories and for Sharing Your Most Important People With Me.

God Bless You Forever!

Love,
Nana Rita

My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Jackie's family during this sorrowful time. I worked with Jackie at NIC/SIIS/EICON from 1976 to 1999. She is a beautiful individual and will be missed deeply. Some of my fondest memories are the parties we had in Mt Charleston. Rest in peace my dear friend. You are a beautiful angel now.

I worked at the old SIIS from 1986 to 2001, and recall fondly my times there with Jackie as a Supervisor. Suffice to say, these memories are still very important to me. She certainly was a remarkable person and was taken away much too soon. Sincere condolences to her family and all loved ones.
