JAMES HOUGAARD

JAMES HOUGAARD Jim Hougaard, of Las Vegas, passed away May 8, 2014, at a local hospital. Jim was born Sept. 15, 1938, to Wilford Ray and Elizabeth Gee Hougaard, in Utah. Jim moved to the Las Vegas valley in 1961. He married Darlene Hougaard April 15, 1961. Jim loved the outdoors spending much of his time racing, fishing, hunting and traveling. Jim was a union painter for more than 30 years and was well-known on the Las Vegas strip for painting nearly all the major resorts at one time in his life. He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard; sister, Glenna; and wife, Dolly. He is survived by four children, Terrie, Steven, Dawna and Michael; 10 grandchildren, Jamie, Tess, Steven, Rick, Chris, Brittney, Brandon, Kayla, Dillon and Joshua; 16 great-grandchildren, Makaela, Morgan, Eddie, Tyler, Riley, Jordan, Deanna, Taylor, Chris, Melissa, Eric, Carmen, Hayley, Rick III, Damien and Ava; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at noon Saturday, May 17, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Davis Memorial Park. "Dad you will be missed, you will be forever in our hearts.
