1934 - 2016

JAMES WELLS 1934-2016 James Carlos Wells passed away Nov. 16, 2016, at the age of 82. He was born and raised in Kingsport, Tenn., attended college then served eight years in the U.S. Air Force. Jim worked for JC Penney and Montgomery Ward for 20 years. ln 1972, he met and married the love of his life in Florida. They moved to Las Vegas in 1977, where Jim worked in gaming for 30 years at the El Cortez and Circus Circus. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rose Marie; daughter, Suzanne Wells; brother, Bill Wells (Peggy); sister, Carol Oliver; sons, John and Jeff Taylor (Dania); his only granddaughter, Frances; sister-in-law, Fran Bloomfield (Ronnie); brother-in-law, Ronnie Woodcock (Yoko); and nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, many living in Tennessee and Texas. We invite all to attend a memorial service to celebrate Jim's life at 3:30 p.m. this Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive, where he was a member and an alternate deacon.
