John Clark Obituary

JOHN "SKIP" CLARK JR. Our father and friend, John H. "Skip" Clark Jr., peacefully left the earth in the early morning hours of April 5, 2018. He was born June 21, 1929, and was a proud resident of Las Vegas for 71 years. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America since 1941 and was an Eagle Scout and a Silver Beaver recipient. During his 47 years of working as Parts Manager of Pat Clark Pontiac, he traveled to eight different countries. He spent eight years in the Nevada National Guard, 14 in the Army Reserve and retired as a Major. Skip served in many different callings in the LDS church, including working 17 years in the Las Vegas temple. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Leta Joy Lee Clark; and one grandson. He leaves behind his four children, Sandee (George) Stewart, Peggy (Dave) Morrison, John H. Clark III and Wayne (Tracy) Clark; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14, with funeral service following at 10:30 a.m., both at the LDS Charleston Chapel, 3400 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102. Burial following at Palm Memorial Park, Eternity Building, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas, NV 89101.

Although we did't see Skip & Leta very often, we always had fond memories of both.Aunt Evey's & Uncle Wally's 50th in Hilton Head & my parens in Las Vegas were good times. Our sympathy & prayers to the family.
