Marsha Somers Obituary

MARSHA SOMERS Marsha Lee Somers, age 66, passed away March 7, 2007, at her home in Reno, where she has been a resident for 37 years. She was born July 9, 1940, in Cedar City, Utah, to Arshal A. and Edna M. Lee. She grew up in Panaca, making her a native Nevadan, and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1958. Marsha worked in the casinos for over 30 years in Keno and most recently as a cashier at Reno's Little Nugget. She is survived by her children, Thea A. Sullivan of Sparks, and Shane (Espy) L. Somers of Las Vegas; two grandchildren, Brennan K. Sullivan and Shani N. Sullivan of Sparks; one sister, Ann (Jim) Thomas; and one brother, Allen (Joann) Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents. "Dream as if you'll live forever ... live as if you'll die today." - James Dean. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at the LDS Church in Panaca. Interment will be in the Panaca City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary.
