As tough, and as rough, as Max could be,.. he possessed the largest heart I have ever encountered. As my brother (in law) he exhibited patience in his teachings and sharing of his vast knowledge, and I know that I tested those patients on most occasions. But,.. I learned far more from Max than any other person Ive known.
Above all this, he loved my sister the way she loved to be loved,.. put her upon a pedestal when she deserved it, and treated her as an equal when life required it.
He was a mans man, and is still as missed as the day we lost him. Thank you Max for sharing your days with us all. Aaron.

Just 70 is what you would have been. Just 29 is what we shared. Just yesterday is what it feels like. Forever is what I dream of you.

It has been unbelievably, inconceivably difficult to accept that you are gone!!! Never did I imagine you would get sick and leave us, way too young!!! We were born so close in age, mom said we were like having twins as you were always trying to take my baby bottle away from me :-). Although, mom said she didn't know what she would have done without us after dad died because we kept her going and kept her mind occupied. Since our older siblings were grown and away from home all we had was each other, we played together and fought as siblings do. Since you were older and I was your little sister, you always watched out for me. I know you are in Heaven and aren't suffering any more but it doesn't take away the pain of losing you too soon. You are always in my thoughts and tomorrow is your birthday. I love and miss you!!!!!!! Sis

Max, I have so many fond memories of the early days when you, Mom, Marlene and our lovable old dog, Fritzi arrived by train from Abilene, Texas at Kingman AZ. I had driven down to get all of you and drive you back to Las Vegas,Your new home. Mitzi drove out a few months later and we were all together again. What wonderful happy times they were.
I remember our hunting trips, riding in your old dune buggy and so many other fun times.
I also knew from early on that you had what it takes to be successful in your own business, your M&M Construction company.
And you the unique flair for comedy in telling very funny stories. What a joy to to hear your style.
Max, we love you so much. You were the best son and brother a family could ever have. RIP

It has been 48 days my love and I still wait for you to come through that door every day. I will never stop loving you. I can never forget you. We have each other eternally.
Every second and minute seems a life time.
Until we meet again.

Max and I always had a special relationship as brother and sister. I was seven years old when Mama brought him home from the hospital. I was fascinated with him because he was the first baby I had ever been around. I took to him and he took to me! Even as we grew up, went our separate ways and started our own families, we stayed in touch by phone and kept up with what was going on. One thing for sure, Max always left me laughing and I hung up the phone feeling much better than I was before I talked to him! I still believe Max should have had his own show on the Strip somewhere! Keep 'em laughin' in Heaven little brother. We'll see each other soon.

Being Max's brother-in-law from Texas, down San Antonio way,
I didn't see Max as often as I would have liked to but everytime I did I was always intertained, he was a joy to be around. I thought after I retired Marlene and I would have more time to go visit and spend quality time with Max, sadly it was not to be. We love you Max...RIP

I was so glad to visit with Max at our family reunion a few years ago and to meet Desiree'. I had not seen Max since we were kids, but he had not changed. He was still his out-going, full of life self! So sorry that he was taken too soon and will keep the family in my prayers.

to all of max's family and friends.Max as everyone knows was a wonderful person, and will be missed by everyone. I worked for Max,as did my son James & rode MC Sand Rails ETC. as did many others, great times around the camp fires laughing at his many tales,so much so the Rangers at Coral Pink Dunes would come by and tell us to hold it down (no loud noise after 9:00) Nobody had a watch. He is at peace now. But we are without a great person and story teller.

Max left this earth too soon. I'll miss him a lot and regret not visiting him more often. I loved going to his ranch and helping out and afterwards listen to his stories and jokes. He was and still is the life of the party. Goodbye Uncle Max.

Max and his family, myself and my family have been friends for well over 40 years. Recently Fran and I were setting outside and Max pulled up in his favorite old truck, got out and sat on the bed and just started telling stories of our travels and good times. When he left the lady across the street came over and said what could you talk about for over five hours? Fran told her when you have as many stories as these two guys it takes awhile. I will miss his frequent visits and phone calls, when he says, just called to check in. Recently when we said our goodbyes with tears in our eyes (just like when I am writing this). I knew it would be our last time together. We will miss him terribly. When we get to haven I know he will be waiting with a fresh story.

Shannon, my heart breaks for you, Tad, Sandy, the boys & family. I remember meeting you at Sunrise and Max had his mule Abby and he wanted you to try and run barrels on her. Taylor chasing Kyle & Brendan I can still here Max yelling you better run boys. Him telling my mom & I Tad raced motorcycles you barrel raced didn't know which one was cheaper. Keep your head held high and know he his smiling down on you all. He loved you all so much and his memories will never fade. RIP Max your contagious smile laugh and humor will be missed. Love, Micki & Family

My favorite memory of Max was when he took Shannon and I to and from the airport for our Mexico vacation. All the way there he warned us to be safe and when we were late coming back and he got worried because we weren't where we were supposed to be and he yelled at us when we got in the truck. Made me feel loved and remember what it was like to have a dad, as I lost mine when I was quite young. Max loved his children and grandchildren very much and I'm sorry they are having to experience his loss so young.

I met Max when he moved to Dammeron. He would come up to the mailbox parking area and sit in his truck, under the tree in the summer, and make his list of phone calls because there was good service there...cause as we all know living in Dammeron there are little black holes of bad service....then he would come get his mail! I didn't know him for a very long time, but for how long I did know him I feel forever greatful. He was a talker with great stories and the corkiest jokes (lol)! He always had a smile on his face and was always off and on his way to lend a helping hand! He will be greatly missed... My thoughts and prayers are with entire family.

Max was a wonderful man, and dear friend. Kenny and Max loved sharing stories, and Max always had a joke to share with my children - which always made them giggle! I never saw him without a big smile on his face, and he was always willing to help if he could! He will be missed - but I have to smile, because I'm sure he and Kenny had a wonderful reunion, and are back to sharing stories again!

I have fond memories of Max from his high school days at Western, and one of his best friends was Eddie Console.
I remember when he worked at a gas station just up Charleston Blvd. from Panorama Market.
He had a cool "dune buggy", and we used to go riding out in the desert, and go camping by Red Rock Canyon.
I lost track of Max when I went into the Navy during the Viet Nam war.
I always wondered what became of him, and if he had moved away from Las Vegas.
He was a good friend.
Rest in peace.

I wish to express my gratitude to Max & my sister Desiree for the experiences they shared with me. I've known Max since 1989 and as of 2005 they accepted my family into their hearts and life. Max trained me in many aspects of the grading & paving business, taught me to run heavy equipment, and shared much of his personal life with me. The world has lost a truly great man. Thank you Max for the greatest gift one could give to another, allowing me to be part of your life. I will forever miss you.

Max was one of Bob Warren' s dearest friends. They worked together at M and M and rode dirt bikes for years. He taught Jason Warren to be one of the best darn blade operators in Vegas. I will always remember his sense of humor and his kindness to me when Bob died. I will bet they are having a real laugh in heaven right now. He will be missed. - Kay Warren (Las Vegas, NV)
