Patrick Wanslee Obituary

PATRICK WANSLEE Patrick Clinton Wanslee, 74, of Phoenix, passed away Feb. 1, 2011. He was born June 29, 1936, in Tucson, and resided in Nevada for 10 years. Pat was a third generation Arizonan. Pat often said that the luckiest day of his life was when he met and married the love of his life and best friend, Mary Ann, on the same day. While Pat and Mary Ann enjoyed only a few hours of courtship, they were blessed with many years of marriage. Pat was admired and loved for his generous spirit, optimism, wonderful sense of humor and great love of life. He will be deeply missed but memories of him will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maris Marie Stern; and his sister, Sharon Fensch. Pat is survived by Mary Ann; his son David and his twin daughters, Madeleine (Brian Mullen) and Melissa (Bob McCullough) and his grandchildren Rachel, Rebecca, Carmel and Benjamin Patrick Wanslee. Whitney Murphy Funeral Home is handling arrangements (602) 840-5600.

I was fortunate to have lunch with Pat
at an east camelback restuarant quite
often and each meeting was a lesson in
Arizona history. He was a great man and
will be missed by all.

Although I only recently met Pat Wanslee, he made a big impression on me. He was very vibrant and interesting. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
