ROBERT FABBRI Robert Gabriel Fabbri, 88, passed away Dec. 19, 2017, just as he wanted to, at home. Bob was born April 29, 1929, in San Francisco, Calif., to Dominic and Victoria Fabbri. Bob served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps. After the Navy, he returned to San Francisco, where he met and married Lucille Patania. They were together 50 years and had two children, Dennis and Charlene. After Lucille's passing, Bob went back to work, where he met and later married Carol Guastaferro. Bob's occupations were varied, garbage man, manager, restaurant owner and food and beverage director on the Strip. He was a proud Italian who loved family, friends and food. He was happiest cooking, whether it was for two or 200. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille; stepfather, Charles Hinton; sister, Alma Clark; and stepson, Daniel Guastaferro. He is survived by wife, Carol; daughter, Charlene (Stan); son, Dennis (Carmen); stepdaughter, Christine (Orlando); six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at St. Georges Anglican Church, 7676 W. Gilmore Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89129. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Lupus Foundation.
