Dad,

You were always my hero, whether it be in uniform, blowing by me when out in the middle of nowhere riding quads, or teasing me about how I dug a trench. I will always remember how much strength was in your hands and how warm your smile was. You were always courageous when times would try to stare you down. I am grateful to have had what time was allowed with you. I aim to make you proud; and my aim is good, so don't worry. I miss you in body, but I am always close to you in heart. I salute the man you were, and I cherish the soul God took into his embrace. Semper Fidelis.

Cody, Rose, Rod Jr and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father and husband. It has been a very long time since I had seen him but I have very fond memories. We had alot of fun riding the quads and going up to the cabin. My deepest sympathies,

I knew Rod in our childhood and and through high school. He and I had morning paper routes, he on his Cushman Eagle, and me on a bicycle. He was always a good friend and role model for others. Sincere condolences to his mother and family.

My Dad was a great family man, His sence of humur and devotion to his family are an insperation to us all. His love of life and the love for his Wife are examples of His teachings to us. The greatest gift I can think of would be to try to carry on His legacy and try to live my life in such a way as to Make Him Proud. I love you and miss you Dad. See you on the green

My father was a great family man, I would like to think I will carry on his ideals of Family in my life time. His sence of humur was one of a kind, He always had the "Don't give up" attitude, His faith in all His children never seemed to wavier at all, no matter what was going on He could always bring a smile to anyones face. His paitiance, family devotion, and love for His wife are an insperation to all his family and the greatest gift I know of to give to him is to try to carry on his legecy, to follow his example and to honor his memory

To the Family of Rod,
God Bless all of you! I have known Rod for over 40 years. He and his first wife Rachel were our first neighbors & best friends on Cloverdale Ave., we were newlyweds. We had wonderful times together & we were young, had our children close together, and did many things together; the lake, deer hunting. I have so many pictures and memories. Even though we went in different ways over the years we still saw one another sometimes. We had our little group when we were so young, Rod, Rachel, Jeri, Rick, Pat, Red, Lewis and myself. Rod had his 55 Chevy! Rod will now see my Lewis and my Scott in Heaven!
God Bless and Love,
Sue Lytle and Shannan Lytle-Morian and her Family

My Uncle Rod, you were the coolest uncle ever. As a little girl, I loved going to the desert motoraces to watch you. Not too long ago I was at a desert moto race volunteering at the finish line, and you were on my mind, remembering how much fun these races were. I was sharing with my friends how fast and fearless you were, I was so proud. Im going to miss you dearly, and I am very fortunate to have such a loving, sweet uncle like you. You will always been in my heart, and when I go to the races, you will be right there beside me enjoying them along side me. The firestation visits with mom were also fun (especially when you burnt Thanksgiving Dinner for the guys) oops...Love you dearly, Your Niece Lori Linn.

Rodney you are always remembered. We worked together many years on the fire dept. and I worked for you for eleven years at Ronnow sprinklers, eleven great years where you taught me many things. It's so sad that you had to leave us so soon, you will never be forgotten. The memories of our friendship and our working together will always be foremost in my thoughts.
