I just heard of Sarah's passing today. So sad. I went to high school with Sarah. She was a beautiful soul and so very smart. I remember staying over at her house one Friday night our freshman year and the next day I went with her to a debate for the LaFollette debate team. She was so talented. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends.

Sarah Hoeveler-Ralson was a wonderful friend and a one of the finest journalists to grace the newsrooms of channels 13 and 3. It was my pleasure to work with her in both stations. Over the years, I've looked back with fondness, remembering that sense of humor and the ability to see inside people. That's what made her a great mom, friend, reporter and public relations profesisonal.

My deepest sympathies to the Hoeveler family. Sarah was so good-hearted and spirited personally and was extremely talented and savvy professionally. Those of us who knew her and worked with her were blessed to have had her in our lives on many fronts. I will never forget that smile and that laugh, which did indeed brighten many days at work and play. For Maddy-- know your mother made a real positive difference in the lives of many people in Las Vegas and elsewhere and is truly missed. Her goodness will live on in people's hearts.

To the Hoeveler family and Maddy -- Please know that Sarah brightened all of our lives and her memory will forever be a blessing to those who were lucky enough to have had the experience of "Sarah." I knew Sarah long before Maddy was even a sparkle in her eye, but know that "sparkle" just grew bigger anytime she was involved. From traveling to Hawaii on a shoe-string in 1988 to the miracle of Maddy and beyond. I will cherish the hundreds of memories and smiles she shared with me over the years and will not let time pass without reaching out to a friend in the future. Losing a friend without being able to say "goodbye" is incredibly painful. I hope that some day, Maddy, we can share some of the laughs and good times I shared with your Mom, until then . . . I hope you find comfort in the thoughts and prayers that are coming your way. .
