Steve, you were the minister when I transferred to 1st Christian in Hot Springs. You were so friendly and your sermons were so good I knew immediately where my church would be.
I now know why the good Lord called you home. You were so wonderful to talk to and listen to. I am so sorry to have to be writing this now. God bless you.

I've known Steve since middle school and was able to call him a very dear friend of mine. We spent many mornings before high school hanging by the flagpole. He was always smiling, always caring, and always a great friend. I've enjoyed watching your life these last few years through Facebook and I'm very saddened to be writing these words here instead of where you could have read them. Rest In Peace my friend.

When I think back to my days in college, I can't help but think about Steve. He was funny and smart. Being around him kept you on your toes because you'd never know what he'd say or do next! I remember his compassion and concern for others, his smile, a pat on the back, his hugs when you were having a day. As often happens after college, we lost touch but reconnected several years ago. Sadly, again, we lost touch. When I heard of his death, I was shocked and saddened. I'm keeping him and his family close to my heart.

Steve was a wonderful, strong man of faith who always stood up for what was right. He will be greatly missed but he has left a legacy of love to all who knew him. Prayers of comfort and peace for his family and friends John 14
