Gini was living at the Hallmark Assisted Living Center and was attended by hospice at her passing. Gini was born in 1951 in Eau Claire, Wis., the daughter of Reginald and Doris Meyer. Virginia attended the Eau Claire Public Schools. Gini attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a teaching degree. Virginia taught school in Vail, Colo. for a time, where she met and married Paul Spence from Las Vegas. Virginia resided in Las Vegas and Laughlin for many years. She also worked for the Hertz Car Rental Company in Las Vegas, Newport Beach, and Palm Springs. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Doris Meyer; a sister, Marilyn (nee Meyer) Getchler; and her husband, Paul Spence. Virginia is survived by her brothers, Steven G. Meyer and Paul O. Meyer; as well as numerous friends and associates. A memorial service at the United Methodist Church in Palm Springs is pending. I am really blown away at the News of Gini's passing. I had learned a lot about life growing up with her. Fishing and 4 wheeling in vail and Gini understanding and correcting a hyperactive child in to the man I am now without pills. I feel bad about hearing this news. I had planned to see Gini last March when I was in the area. We had talked about it over email but due to time constraints I was not able too. I just arrive back in Las Vegas 2 days ago and planned to go see her since I had more time. Until tonight when I heard the news of her passing. Damn shame. I know one things for sure she is laughing it up and golfing her heart out. God bless you Gini.

With strong beliefs and an enduring friendship, I trust you now rest in peace. I'll certainly remember living vicariously through all your moves in NV, CA, Mi, and AL; as well, experiencing those wishes on the "bucket list". Missing you.
