Darrell Wright Obituary

Darrell Wright, age 94, passed away May 27, 2013. He served in the west coast shipyards during World War II and was active in the racing program at Chrysler Corporation. Survived by sons, Donald (Pat) and Gary (Andrea); daughter, Sheila Robertson (John); brother, Jim, seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Blanche (nee Schoaf) of 55 years; brothers, Raynard and Robert; son, Darrell Edward; grandson, Bradley; and his parents. Anatomical donation to the Wayne State medical school was made after which his urn will be buried next to his loving wife at St. John cemetery in Bartonville, Ill. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Cancer Research Institute, Leader Dogs for the Blind, or Doctors without Borders. You are invited to join us at a casual dinner to celebrate his life to be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. Please call Gary or Sheila to confirm the location.
