James H. Huset

1934 - 2018

Huset, James H. Age 84 a resident of New Baltimore passed away July 4, 2018 at 7 p.m. James was born June 22, 1934 in Fargo, ND. He spent his earlier years in ND. Upon completion of high school he joined the U.S. Army and became a paratrooper. Much of his army tenure was in Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Campbell, KY. James graduated from Mayville State College in 1960 and later received his Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan University. James worked one year for the American Red Cross as a field director at Selfridge, after this time he spent 28 years as a teacher and administrator in the Anchor Bay School District retiring in 1991. He was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and after moving to Michigan belonged for a while to a sky diving club. Survived by his daughter Kimberly (Joe) Yonkoski and grandson James, his sisters in law and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and his love of his life, his wife Frances of 49 years. Visitation 2:30 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile, New Baltimore. Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in New Baltimore.
