Henry, Joyce Joan, age 82, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Alger, MI with her family by her side. She was born on November 30, 1936 in Detroit to Walter and Agnes (Klein) Szczepanski. Joyce had lived in Alger since 1994, formerly of Sterling Heights. She was a member of the St. Stephens Catholic Church in Skidway Lake and the St. Stephens Women’s Society, she was a volunteer and former Senior Regent for WOTM 1672 in Skidway Lake and honored member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Skidway Lake. Joyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the casino with her sisters, and volunteering for local organizations. Joyce is survived by her children, Michelle Moxley of Shelby Twp, Donald Henry Jr. of Alger, Gary Henry of Alger, Laureen Leston of Scottsdale, AZ and Jim (Sharon) Henry of Yale, MI; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Darlene Kuhn and Sandy (Frank) Dulinski; and sister in law, Kathleen (Robert) Krueger. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and her husband of 58 years, Donald M. Henry Sr. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil and Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Skidway Lake on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Branch.
