RAYMOND CURFMAN Obituary

CURFMAN, JR.
RAYMOND ELMER
Age 77, of New Haven died Friday, September 20, 2013 in Medilodge of Richmond after an extended illness. Mr. Curfman was born September 22, 1935 in Warren, Michigan to the late Raymond and Bernice (Riley) Curfman. He married Carol Arneil in New Haven on August 27, 1974. Mrs. Curfman died February 25, 2006. Ray retired in 1999 as a supervisor for the New Haven DPW, where he worked for forty-four years. He also was a member of the New Haven Fire Department for thirty-five years and served as chief for ten years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed photography and coin collecting. He is survived by his children, Raymond (Patricia) Curfman of New Haven and Sandra (Roy) Vogras, Barbara (Kenneth) Soboleski and Janet Vernier, all of Port Huron; sister, Carol Herrington of Marine City; 14 grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, David Curfman on March 4, 2013; step-son, Mark Arneil; siblings, Alice Downs, Pauline Ward and Roy Curfman. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 9 a.m. in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial will be in the Centennial Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be on Monday from
