Annie Etheridge Obituary

Annie M. Etheridge -FORSYTH - Annie M. Etheridge died Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M., Friday, April 27, 2012, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 5455 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, Georgia with burial in Forsyth City Cemetery. Reverend Darrell Corbin and Mark Goolsby will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M., Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. -Mrs. Etheridge was born October 23, 1938 in Barnesville. Her father, Carter Alfred McGaha preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. -Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Reverend Franklin Etheridge of Forsyth; children, Kathy (Floyd) Ogden of Waynesboro and Debbie (Hugh) Darsey of Warner Robins; mother, Lois W. McGaha of Forsyth; brother, JR (Gwen) McGaha of Thomaston; grandchildren, Leighanne (David) Harris of Athens, Tabitha (Billy) Christensen of Phoenix, Arizona, Jesse Ogden of Atlanta, James Ogden of Augusta, Rachel Darsey of Warner Robins, Joel Darsey of Warner Robins and Ryan Darsey of Warner Robins; great grandchild, Kaitlyn Harris of Athens. -In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wheeler Heights Baptist Church, 4318 Riggins Mill Road, Macon, GA 312127. -Please visit www.monroecountymemorialchapel.com to express tributes. -Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.

I knew Annie in high school and have not seen her since then. I remember her as a sweet person whose heart was open to all. All who knew her respected her. She was a good person then, and I know she is an angel today. God bless her family and carry them through this trying time.
