Carl Puckett Obituary
Macon, GA- Carl Eliot Puckett, Jr. was called home by his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 2, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Anthony will officiate. The family asks that donations be given to Liberty United Methodist Church Missions and Ministry Campaign at 6511 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216.

We became good friends in the National Guard during the late 1960s and early 1970s. My memories of Carl are still strong today. He was truly a good and decent man!!

Carl always knew me when I met him and was glad to see me. His smile was perpetual. I couldn't attend services or meet the family but my prayers and condolences are with his family and those whose lives he touched.

Over twenty years ago, Mr. Puckett helped my father and me get our car cranked in front of his home. He would not accept payment and told us that he might need help one day. A very kind and godly man.

I was told a long time ago that a "True Gentleman" is one who is kind and makes sure that the people around him are comfortable. I think Carl Puckett was the epitome of a "True Southern Gentleman" by always making those in his company comfortable. He will be missed greatly! His character is one that all men should aspire to emulate.

He taught me so much about life. His love for the Farm Life and his love for the Lord.Carl was such a wonderful man as our fun times to PC beach at Sunday School. He always never forgot me as when he saw me he always ask how the crops were looking in South Georgia. I'm sure he and Homer Garrison are planting the most Beautiful Crops this Spring. I have known Mr Carl only a short time, but I am blessed even for that. He always had a sincere greeting, a warm smile and a comforting handshake. His voice would command attention but also soothe the soul. He was truly an Angel among us. Go rest high brother. Till we meet again.

Even thought I only knew Mr. Puckett for a short time, I feel truly Blessed. he always had a smile on his and always had a kind word, and a helping hand.
