David Haugabrook Obituary

David Charles Haugabrook
September 24, 1954 - March 27, 2018
Lizella , GA- Charles Haugabrook (Lizella, Georgia) was born on September 24, 1954, in Macon, Georgia, to the parentage of Ms. Eula Haugabrook Davis and Mr. Woodrow Wilson. He was educated in the Bibb County Public School System and at an early age showed talent in many areas. Those talents led him to eventually become a star running back for the Central Charger football team. Upon graduating from Central in 1972, Charles took his talents to Appalachian State University and continued to excel athletically. After graduating from college in 1976, he briefly joined the NFL.
Charles determined that the volatility of the pro-athletic world was not for him and embraced his many other talents. He focused on his business acumen, which had been engrained in him from an early age. His natural ability to lead and bring people together creatively, allowed him to contribute to some of the world's leading companies including, Wrangler, Pepsi, Walt Disney, HBO, and Time Warner. He worked in capacities ranging from Marketing Director to Senior Vice President. Upon leaving the corporate environment, Charles returned to Georgia and operated his consulting business, Global Brand Insights and joined Ansley Atlanta Homes.
On March 27th, Charles was suddenly called from this earthly realm, and took his journey to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, and sister, Ruby. Charles leaves to cherish many precious memories, his loving wife, Natalie (Chambliss) Beach-Haugabrook; adoring children, Amanda Haugabrook, David Haugabrook II, Kirsten Beach, and Tyler Elise Beach; mother, Eula Davis; brothers, Larry Haugabrook, Quinton Wilson, and Ulysses Wilson; sister, Regina Davis; father and mother-in-law, James and Cletia Chambliss; step-mother, Emma Wilson; and a host of other devoted family and friends.
A Celebration of Charles' Life will be held on April 28, 2018, at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame (301 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia), beginning at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made though CGR Credit Union to the David Charles Haugabrook Children's Education Fund, 2040 Ingleside Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.
Services entrusted to Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Macon.
