November 14, 1946 - March 9, 2025
Hiawassee, Georgia - Mr. David Lee Ratley age 78 of Hiawassee, GA. formerly of Macon, GA. passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025 following a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Friday March 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sharp Memorial Church in Young Harris, GA. The family will meet with friends following the services.

I knew David from many years ago in Bibb County. He married Sharon who I also know from my work in Bibb County. They made a nice couple and I had great admiration for both. It saddens me to read this and I send my prayers to Sharon and the rest of their families for his loss.

I truly regret his passing ....he was a good, good man....:)... he had a wonderful sense of humor and we laughed together many times... as a young Judge, he rescued me many times and was always ready and willing to help me when I needed his assistance... he never failed me....
