It is with sincerest prayer and sympathy that I write this note to the family. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Edonis when I taught at Rutland Middle School, now two years ago. I was, at the time, teaching his older brother Deion and met Edonis through him. Edonis struck me as a very high spirited child who loved to have fun and loved to bring laughter. I was deeply moved and saddened to hear of his passing. Please know that your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers and also know that even in this, God will take care of you. Keep looking unto the hills from whence cometh your help. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Edonis. I fist met Edonis when I moved behind his family on Dewey Street. Ednois and all his brothers were like my own kids. Life is a series of challenges and tests. It comes fully equipped with pleasure and pain, sunshine and rain. It is a potpourri of every feeling imaginable. I have been in the storm and I have stood by the ones I love in the storm, and I must tell you that the storm does pass after a while. The thunder quits clapping, the rain stops, the clouds clear, and the day breaks. What a blessing it is when the night has been to long, to know that at last- it is morning.
You all are in my prayers thoughtout this storm. I meet Edonis thought my kids ( Yandchia and Keyon) and he was a pleasant and respectful young man that will be missed by a lot of peoples but will be welcome in god's home and heart.

Dear Edonis family, I only knew Edonis for the time he was at Miller to the time of his death. I know this seems like a short time to know a person, but he just clicked and fell into my heart.
