October 31, 1931 - March 25, 2018
Bonaire, GA- On the morning of Sunday, March 25, 2018, Edward P. Davis, passed away at the Houston Medical Center. He was 86 years old.
Edward was born on October 31, 1931 in Ayr, Nebraska to the late James, Sr. and Alma Wehnes Davis. A proud veteran, he served 24 years in the United States Air Force before retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Following his military career, Edward worked in civil service at Robins Air Force base before retiring after 25 years. He was a lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, the National Rifle Association, the American Legion, the AARP, and the NARFE. In recent years, Edward enjoyed time spent as a member of the Warner Robins Coin Club, the Stamp Club, and the Golden Age Air Museum.
His beloved wife, Sigrid M. Davis, and brother, Jim Davis, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his sister, Dona Parry of Rapid City, South Dakota, and nieces and nephews, LaVern Davis of Hastings, Nebraska, Jeralene Burkhardt of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kerstin Harris of Brandon, Florida, and William "Bill" Parry of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Mr. Davis will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum with full military honors.
