To the family of our friend El,
It is with great sadness that we learned of the loss of our friend, Eldridge. John and I had the privilege of knowing El as a friend and business partner at the CBOT in the 1990's. We have recently returned from 6 years living abroad in Madrid, Spain and since our return to Chicago we have been searching for El. Tonight we called our old friend, Ronald Manaster from Eagle Trading and learned that El had passed. Words cannot express our feelings of loss. We loved Eldridge and were privileged to have him in our life. Years ago we met Teric and his daughter Melissa here in Chicago. As a woman trader on the CBOT, I found protection and a friend and advocate in the trading pit with El watching my back and calling me "shorty" every day. My husband John was proud to have him as a business partner and good friend and we looked forward to renewing our friendship with him now that we are back in Chicago. We mourn the loss of this kind and good man with his family and will never forget him. We send our deepest sympathy and love to you all and please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
