Hayley D. Davis

1996 - 2021

Hayley D. Davis, 25, of Shaler Township, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021. She is formerly of Buffalo Township. Hayley was born in Monroeville July 12, 1996, a daughter of Donna D. (Wachter) Davis, of Buffalo Township, and William J. Davis, of Buffalo Township. Hayley was a 2014 graduate of Freeport Area High School. Hayley excelled as a distance runner on the Freeport track and cross country teams. She also participated in theater, stage crew and choir. She was a past president of the Freeport Distributive Education Club of America (DECA) and was elected to the statewide DECA Board of Directors. Hayley had studied at Duquesne University. She was an avid marathon runner, competing in the Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Boston marathons. She was also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Hayley was employed as a sales agent at Ashley Home Furniture in Pittsburgh and recently received her Real Estate License and was working with Realty ONE Group. Hayley is survived by her mother, Donna D. (Wachter) Davis, of Buffalo Township; her father, William J. "Bill" Davis and his fiancee, Mary Kay Cronin, of Buffalo Township; her sister, Jenna N. Davis, of Millersville; and her maternal grandfather, Donald W. Wachter. She is also survived by aunts, Kim M. Boyd, Bertha Leach and Veronica Kosoglow; as well as uncles, Raul Wachter and Dan Boyd; her cousins, Aaron, Melissa, Laura, Blake, Brian, Dennis, Darren and Michelle; and lifelong friend, Georgianne Lantz and family. Hayley was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William E. and Jean Davis; maternal grandmother, Ramona Wachter; her aunt, Carolann Barton; and her uncle, Dennis Kosoglow. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, in the funeral home with Pastor Adam Clever officiating. Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery in Freeport.
