Gail Spencer Obituary
Macon, GA- Gail C. Spencer 58, of Macon, died Friday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Brad Smith will officiate . The family will meet friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Those who wish may make donations to the charity of the donor's choice.
Ms. Spencer was born in Macon and graduated from Central High School. She was a lifelong member of Bellevue Baptist Church and was a legal secretary and office manager for Pinkston and Associates Attorneys at Law.
Mrs. Spencer is survived by her son, Mark Griffin(Mary) Haskins, Jr. of Savannah, 2 grandchildren, Francie and Griffin Haskins of Savannah, her parents; Margie and Jerry Barrington of Rex, GA., 3 sisters; Kathy(Robert) Dover , JoEllen(Brad) Smith both of Rex, and Debi(Matt) Merchant of Marietta, 6 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.

Aunt Margie, I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I remember Gail on our summer visits to Macon and our trips and picnics to a lake. I wish I had known her as a woman, from her pictures she seemed to have had an adventurous spirit. I pray God comforts you and your family at this very sad time.

Although I haven't seen Gail for years, I have the fondest memories of her and our two boys growing up and playing baseball together at Central High School, Stratford Academy and Middle GA College. She was one of the sweetest and naturally kindhearted people I have ever met. My heart goes out to her family - may God comfort you all in this tragic loss.

My heart is broken for the family. I did not know Gail other than professionally but she was always so helpful, patient and flexible.
