Gary Peacock Obituary
1945 - December 8, 2014
Eastman, GA- MR. W. GARY PEACOCK, age 69, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 10, at Lovely Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Chuck Yzenski officiating, with interment in Lovely Grove Church Cemetery.
Mr. Peacock was a resident of Dodge County, a member and deacon of Lovely Grove Baptist Church and a member of Gideons International for over 15 years. He was a 1963 graduate of Dodge County High School, founder and CEO of Acme Business Products and an avid cattle farmer. He was son of the late Ruby Scarborough Peacock & Joe Peacock and was preceded in death by a Brother - Burke Peacock.
Survivors: Wife of 47 years - Linda Stanley Peacock of Eastman; Daughter - Tracey Clark (Charles) of Ball Ground, GA; Son - Jeff Peacock (Lisa) of Athens; 4 Grandchildren - Emma Clark, Sophie Clark, Will Peacock and Jake Peacock; Sister - Sue Habicht of Lawrenceville; Brother - Sam Peacock (Carole) of Canton, GA; Many Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the Peacock residence, Eastman, and will receive in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, December 9. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Gideons International. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman has charge of arrangements. www.stokes-southerland.com

Just earned that Gary passed away last December; I loved Peas; he was one of a kind; he taught me a lot while we shared offices at the Atlanta branch; his wife Linda was also a favorite of mine; Gary was a good old country boy; down to earth; not a phony bone in his body; and he was never afraid to tell it like it was; I will miss him

I was shocked when I saw this in the obits. I asked about Bro Gary a few months ago when I was in Eastman to give a GIDEON Report. I loved me some Gary Peacock and I hurt for the family, I know our GOD will grant you the peace that passses all understanding and we will see him on the other side !!

Mrs Linda and family we are so sorry to hear about Mr Gary he and my father buddy spires we good friends and we all think a lot of you both sorry we cannot be with you during this time due to medical issues with my daughter through out her pregnancy but you are in our thoughts and prayers if there is anything we can do for you let dad know and he will get in touch with us

Linda: I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. Ironically, my wife and I mentioned Gary in conversation this past Sunday on the way home from church. I will keep you and all of the family in my prayers and pray that God will keep all of you in his loving arms. God bless you.

I worked for Gary at ACME. He was a fun loving guy who had good sense for business and he took care of the people who worked for him. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
