J.T. Yawn Obituary

J.T. Yawn -MILAN - Mr. J. T. "Gator" Yawn, age 89, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at his residence. -Mr. Yawn was a farmer and a life time resident of Telfair County. He was the son of the late Calvin Yawn and Annie Dowdy Yawn. -The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2006 from 7:00 until 9 PM. -Funeral Services will be held 2P.M. Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Rockwell Baptist Church. The Reverend Sam Gray, the Reverend Robert Boutwell and the Reverend Danny Lovett will be officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. -Survivors include his wife, Essie M. Knight Yawn of Milan; four children, Laverne Calhoun of Rhine, Thomas B. Yawn of Homerville, Ronald Calvin Yawn of Milan, Wayne S. Yawn of Nashville, GA ; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Mae Boyer of Hazlehurst, Mary Annie Gray of Hartwell, Lola Smith of Broxton; several nieces and nephews. -Lowe's Funeral Home of Helena has charge of arrangements.
