James Blaxton Obituary

James Blaxton -LYONS - Mr. James V. Blaxton, age 75, of 105 Lisa Street, Ricon, died Tuesday morning in the Memorial Medical Center of Savannah after a brief illness. A native of Toombs County, he lived most of his life in Savannah. Mr. Blaxton was a retired machinist with Stone Container of Savannah, A U.S. Army Veteran of W.W.II and was a Baptist by faith. -Mr. Blaxton is survived by one daughter, Sandy Kay Tucker of Guyton; three brothers: Maxwell D. Blaxton of Warner Robins, Doyal M. Blaxton of Macon and Dewey Lee Blaxton of Savannah; one sister, Francis Hampton of Warner Robins; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. -Graveside funeral services for Mr. James V. Blaxton will be held Friday afternoon at 2P.M. from the Collins Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery of Lyons, interment will follow. -The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. -Jones-Stewart Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge of funeral arrangements.
