With respect and fondness, I remember working with Jimmy as a colleague in public libraries in Georgia. He was a friend to all who knew him and was a caring and compassionate librarian. My prayers are with the family.

The Staff and Trustees of the Ohoopee Regional Library System, Vidalia, GA, extend their sympathy and condolances to Mr. Smith's family. Jimmy Smith served as the Interim Director of the Library System from December 1990 to April 1992.
