Dear family of Laressa,
God bless you on this day and always. I first met Laressa at work with Mr Graves. And yes, he still owes her over $400 when he suddenly went out of business. I bumped into Laressa when I went back to college. I would always stop by her office to say hello and chat for a minute. Then one day I stopped by and someone else told me what little they knew. My heart sunk. She never said a word to anyone about what she was going through. Always stoic, and Army strong. I remember she always spoke of her sister, by showing me a picture of a very fit young lady in a yellow bikini, I think it was yellow. Anyway, when I found her obituary, my heart broke again. I had chills, and went to the cemetery to talk to her. My words were complicated. I didn't know if I felt extra hurt or honored. I wasn't sure if she knew or it was God's plan, but I told her I would never forget her..... because she passed on my birthday. So today I remember her, and think of you all today. Laressa was so young, and very nice. I hope she had her family there with her for support before she passed. Her life was about work, and know she's at rest. But rest assured between her family and myself her memory will live on.

Laressa and I became good friends at Central Georgia Technical College partly because we both had been in the military and mostly because she instantly became a dear friend. When I married my fiance, who is from England, in 2005, Laressa was more like family as a guest at the wedding. Gary & I celebrate a true friendship that only comes along in a life time.

I first met Ressa when we worked together at the Learning Curve in WR back in 2000. Then she became employed at CGTC as a secretary and I went back to school there, I would stop by to visit with her every chance I could. Then she became an instructor and I graduated and our schedules made it difficult to stay in touch. I regret just finding out about her passing, I was very sick all last week. I am going to miss Ressa very much. She was a very Sweet Lady. I can't believe she's gone. My deepest sympathy to her family.

So sorry to hear of her passing. We got word too late to come to her services. We regret not being able to be there for her. She was such a sweet person. She was part of our Northside High School family. We had such a good time visiting with her during our get-togethers. She had such a pleasant way about her and will surely be missed by everyone that knew her. We will hold the family up in prayer. You have our deepest sympathy. Sincerely Michael and Cynthia Alexander

Ben and Family,
I was so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful sister, Laressa. Although I never had the privilege to meet her, I know already by her obituary that she was a wonderful and giving person. I know she must have touched a lot of lives through the years. I'm sorry I was unable to come to the memorial services for I'm sure it truly was a celebration of her precious life. May God comfort each of you in this great loss. God Bless,

Laressa was such a kind, spirited person who never let anything slow her down. I will miss our talks in-between classes. We talked about any and everything. She loved football and traveling to New Mexico. To Laressa's family, I offer my thoughts, prayers, and love to you. Laressa was a very special lady to me. I am missing her and it hurts to know that she will not walk in the office and grace us with her feistiness and sense of humor. Rest in peace, my dear friend.

I looked upon Laressa as a sister. I worked with her at CGTC, graduated from high school with her brother Ben, and my mother and Laressa's mother worked together many years ago so we had alot of connections. She will be missed by her students here at CGTC. I will miss her smile and bubbly personality and most of all her hugs. Rest in Peace my sister.
