Mama Louise,
You showed us what "love your neighbor" looked like in real time. Thank you for feeding us, even when we had no way to pay the tab. In that way you were a teacher, a preacher, and a model of righteous living. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to say thank you a few years back. You blessed many young people who came to Macon for music. I am just one of those folks. I'll never forget you and your kindness.

Through their unconditional love and kindness that they extended to everyone, Mama Louise Hudson and Mrs. Inez Hill turned the H & H into something no one could have ever imagined. They are, and will always be, very much a part of Macon, Georgia.

It was always a delight when visiting Macon to have lunch at the H&H and see sweet Mama Louise. Years ago, she made made me a special scrambled egg breakfast when my friend and I had to hitchhike from Macon back to Atlanta because our "dates" ditched us in the rain. Mama welcomed us with open arms.
Cherish your sweet memories - I certainly will.
