Dear Watson Family,

Miss Mabel was such a great friend to my mother, Faye Nelson, and to all the other ladies in the neighborhood. Thinking back on our childhood, living just across "the vacant lot" from y'all was a blessing. I remember so many good times that we shared on Wallace Drive - just across from Barden and within sight of Bethesda. Your mother was always so sweet and kind. I know you will miss her tremendously but please take comfort in knowing that she loved all of you dearly and that she will be remembered so fondly.

Aunt Mabel was a true southern lady, a Steel Magnolia, a women of faith. I well always remember my summers with her, and talks around the table. She truly loved her family and was so very proud of them. She always looked like a lady and carried herself that way. Her laughs were contagious and came from the heart. She imprinted all she came in contact with, she will definitely will be missed because she loved.

I will miss you so much, but you are home with all of your family now. You were always so gracious and hospitable. You loved to cook for us and we loved to eat it, especially your German Chocolate Cake. I will join you and all of the family one day. Thanks for being our Aunt and for loving us.
