November 14, 1947 - June 29, 2021
Kathleen, Georgia - Mack C. Nelson, Sr. went home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, family man, and a loyal friend.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
The funeral service celebrating Dr. Nelson's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church School, 300 S Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Repast will follow the burial service at Warner Robins Banquet Hall, 508 Osigian Blvd Unit 3, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
In lieu of flowers, make contributions to http://www.fvsu.edu/fvsu-foundation and select "Dr. Mack C. Nelson scholarship"
Social distancing and face masks are highly encouraged.

To Rose, the Nelson Children, and his many students: It is with heart felt sorrow that I as a former schoolmate (Alcorn State University), co-worker Prairie View University and Fort Valley State University offer condolences to the family of a true scholar and professor who loved his family and students. We are all better off that Dr. Mack C. Nelson crossed our lives. Let us strive to be a light in the lives of those we meet during our journey called life.
