Mackie Ralph Mixon -MACON - Mackie Ralph Mixon, 77, of 7851 Old Nowell Road, died Friday at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Monday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, with the Rev. Mike Manley officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will meet friends Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00P.M., at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, P. O. Box 6533, Macon, GA 31208. -Mr. Mixon, son of the late James B. and Emma Elizabeth Adams Mixon, was born in Jones County and was a graduate of Lanier High School. He lived in Green Cove Springs, Florida before moving here in 1969. Mr. Mixon was a decorated U. S. Navy veteran serving in 1944-46 during World War II aboard the USS Lexington and served tours throughout the Pacific. He was an aircraft and jet engine mechanic retired from Robins Air Force Base and was of the Baptist Faith. -Survivors include his wife, Edith Thompson Mixon of Macon; four children, including Emily Warlick of Macon, Susan Ann Mixon of Marietta, Edith Maria Peebles of Augusta and Ralph Edwin Mixon of Bonaire; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and two sisters, Hattie Harrington of Macon and Ruth Finleyson of Oveida, FL. -Visitwww.mem.comto express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, has charge of arrangements.
