Margina Gates Dunlap

Margina Gates Dunlap -MACON - Margina Gates Dunlap, 90, a longtime resident of Macon, died June 23, 2006 at her home. A memorial service will be held for her at 11A.M. on Monday, June 26 in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary following a private burial in Riverside Cemetery. Dr. William Oliver and Dr. Marcus Tripp will officiate. -Mrs. Dunlap was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Robert Cleveland Dunlap, Jr. and her parents, Dr. And Mrs. Paul Greene Gates. She attended Florida State University and Wesleyan College before graduating from Duke University. She was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church, the Ed Cook Sunday School Class, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and the Junior League of Macon. -Survivors include her daughters, Anne Youmans (George) of Macon and Gina Cogswell of Atlanta; grandchildren, George Youmans, Jr. (Laura), Cleveland Gaynor (Art), Anne Brooks Rudzki (J.R.), Alden Rice (Travis), Gini Pingenot (Trent); and seven great grandchildren. -The family wishes to express their gratitude to Mrs. Dunlap's caregivers during her illness. Donations may be made to Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
