Patrick Rodeheaver Obituary

Patrick H. Rodeheaver -BYRON - Patrick H. Rodeheaver, 85, died Sunday, June 3, 2012. Services will be held at 11:30A.M. on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Byron United Methodist Church, 103 West Heritage Blvd. in Byron, with Rev. Baxter Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road in Macon. -Born in Oakland, Maryland, to the late Curtis Delbert and Rosa Lee Kittle Rodeheaver, Mr. Rodeheaver was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a member of Byron United Methodist Church. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving his country in World War II and the Korean War. An avid "Beagler" and member of the Middle Georgia Beagle Club, he liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons and University of Georgia. -Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Maxine Rodeheaver of Byron; their children, Patrick Delbert and Margaret Rodeheaver of Warner Robins, Elaine Gail Gilbert and her late husband, Richard of High Falls, and Michael Robert and Cynthia Rodeheaver of Newnan; grandchildren, Saundra Michelle and Tracy Cash and Patrick Clinton and Theresa Rodeheaver, all of Dalton, Katrina Opal Rodeheaver of Warner Robins, Richard Aldine and Joyce Gilbert, Patrick Jason and Shelly Gilbert and Christina and Jimmy Webb, all of Forsyth, Michael Chad Rodeheaver (Lisa) of Juliette, and Paige Michelle Rodeheaver of Orlando, Florida; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Ruth Johnson of Macon; brother, Donald Joe Rodeheaver of Roberta; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Rodeheaver of Forsyth. -He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Carl Rodeheaver, Byrice Gowens, Juanita Zoden, Charles Rodeheaver, Weyman Rodeheaver, and Curtis Rodeheaver. -The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of EverCare Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care. -Please go to www.rooksfuneralhome.com to express online condolences. -Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
