Fredrick Head from Jackson. Ray and I played baseball together after he finished High School and I finished College. A great teammate and OUTSTANDING catcher. At Avondale Park Ray hit 4 homeruns in one game. Never been done before or since. Miss you Brother Ray and God Bless your Family

Ray,
This year has been the hardest for me so far. Years go by and I smile nostalgically but this last year has brought thoughts and memories of you, mom and Jay. Wish you were here with your daughters and beautiful grandsons & granddaughters. I have three grandsons and spend every free moment with them. I know you would have been the best granddaddy ever. I look forward to the day when I will see you again. Keep watch over all of us, I know you will.

So sorry to find out that Ray transitioned at 44 years old. We were Jackson High School classmates and football teammates. Ray was a great guy as we grew up during those formative years of life. God bless the wife, children and grandchildren.

I love you so much Daddy. We are about to go to the beach, a place you loved. I'll hold the times we went together in my heart forever. I wish you could be here to collect shells and walk on sand bars with your grandchildren. I so wish I could see you and talk with you. Baby Kait has her own baby now. A beautiful boy! Man I wish you could hold and love on all these grandchildren. I'll miss you forever.

How sad to hear of Ray's untimely passing while searching around the interwebs for old friends. Ray and I were in the 82nd Airborne Division together - we became fast friends so many years ago. We fell out of touch when I left the Army in 1984. My deepest sympathy to Monica and her and Ray's children, and to Ray's family.

Miss you daddy. All of your girls miss you. Mom, Mamama, Kim, Kaitlyn and me. I think you'd be proud of all of us. You have a grandson but I think you know that. He's very smart and sweet. Wish you could meet him. Anyway watch over all of us please. Help Kimmy out if you can. She wants to be a mommy and she'd be a great one. I try to look after Kaitlyn. I hope you do too. Like I said we all miss you. I love you so much.

Well Ray,
In a few days we will have another birthday. Gosh how I miss you and wish that you would be walking through my back door again and that we were going to eat catfish again this year. Baby boy, it sure doesn't get any easier. I love and miss you so. But, you are in such a far better place and you get to celebrate with mama and daddy. Happy Birthday Ray. I love you. Your big sis.

Sheryll,my heart goes out to you and your whole family.Even though I never met Ray,the memories he left with his family tells what a good person he was.Maybe this poem will help ease your grief some.
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart

Dear Ray,
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We remember how you look.
Now all we have is memories,
and your pictures in our book.
Your memory is our keepsake,
with which we will never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
Our dear brother.
We love and miss you so much.

My dearest and darling Raymond,
I am so sadden and heart broken to know that you will not be with us any more. Your memory will be with Mother and I forever. I love and will always cherish the memories we had as a child. I wish you could have visited us. We could have shown you the love and tenderness you deserved from ones you remembered the good and crazy times. You will always be in our hearts and we will see you in everyday life, You maybe gone from our sight but will never be forgotten in our hearts.
Heros come in all shapes and sizes and you will always beat them all.
Wanda and Birdie.

OUR BELOVED BROTHER - RAY THOMAS
FROM THIS WORLD TO THE NEXT IS A VEXATIOUS STEP TAKEN BY THOSE WHOSE LIFE IS ENDED. WHETHER IN YOUTH, MIDDLE OR ADVANCED AGE IS NO LESS TRAUMATIC TO THOSE LEFT BEHIND.
WE THE SURVIVING SISTERS ARE SADDENED AND FORLORN, THAT OUR BROTHER IS GONE FROM OUR MIDST. WE HAVE NEITHER THE KNOWLEDGE OR COMPREHENSION TO UNDERSTAND THE REASON AS THIS IS CONTAINED IN OUR NOW DECEASED BROTHER'S SOUL.
WE DO KNOW HIS LEGACY AS A BROTHER, A FRIEND, A FATHER, AND A HUSBAND PROVED THAT HE "WORE WELL" THE TRAPPINGS OF HIS HUMANITY.
WE COMMEND HIS SPIRIT TO THE ALMIGHTY, AND EARNESTLY PRAY THAT AT REST, HE MAY FIND THE SERENITY SO MISSING IN HIS EARTHLY FORM.
SWEET RAY WE BID YOU ADIEU AND FAREWELL, REST ASSURED YOU ARE GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.
YOU WILL REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS UNTIL EACH OF US HAVE PASSED TO A FAIRER SHORE. WE CLOSE YOUR LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE WITH SAD HEARTS BUT YET UNFORGETTABLE LOVE.
SHERYLL, SUSIE, JOY AND RHONDA
