Griffin, Georgia - Richard Rutherford, age 71, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Harbor Grace Hospice in Atlanta.

Richard was born in Macon, Georgia on July 19, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Rutherford and Madeline C. Rutherford. He was a retired real estate agent. Richard loved to golf.

Survivors include his children, Maryjane Whisbay, Richard Rutherford, Jr. (wife Jennifer Evans Rutherford), Jennifer Hite, Lisa Leilani Rutherford, Levita Gage, Richard "Cole" Rutherford III, Noah Rutherford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Isaac Rutherford, Wendell Rutherford, and Kenneth Rutherford.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Smith Street Baptist Church, 340 Reid St., Macon, Georgia, 31201. Pastor Jarvis Adside will officiate.
