Roger Allen Bloodworth
July 9, 1950 - August 21, 2022
Macon, Georgia - Mr. Roger Allen Bloodworth, 72, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 in the Chapel at Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon with Dr. Mark Hudgins and Rev. Clay Bowden officiating, with Visitation prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall. A Graveside Service will be held at the Pineview City Cemetery in Pineview, Georgia at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating.
Mr. Bloodworth was born July 9, 1950, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in pharmacy. He retired after 31 years as a pharmacist at Atrium Health Navicent. He enjoyed home projects and loved spending time with family, especially during their annual beach vacation. His grandson Eli was the apple of his eye. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and volunteered with Builders for Christ and Camp Grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Audrey Lee Thombley Bloodworth. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Sercer Bloodworth of Macon; son, Drew (Alison) Bloodworth of Nashville, TN; daughter, Meghan Bloodworth of Macon; brother, Randy (Amie) Bloodworth of Pineview; and grandson, Eli Bloodworth.
The family requests donations be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Rd., Macon, GA 31210, or Camp Grace, 2559 Walkers Chapel Rd., Roberta, GA 31078.
