Sadie Stroud -MACON - Sadie Stroud passed away November 27, 2007. Graveside services will be 11A.M. on Saturday, December 1, 2007 in Macon Memorial Park. -Ms. Sadie M. Stroud was born July 28, 1921 in Pinehurst, GA to the parentage of Emma Jackson and George Blackshear. She joined Evergreen Baptist Church at the early age of 6 years old. She moved to Macon at the age of 11, and attended Bibb County Public Schools. She is the widow of T.Z. Stroud. Ms. Stroud was a member of the foster Grandparents, Stewardess at the Holsey Temple C.M.E. Church, Board #3. A member of the Missionary Society of Holsey Temple. She worked for the City of Macon at Freedom Park. She retired from Central State Hospital after 17 years. -She is survived by three sons, Robert Dewitt Cummings (Carol), Lawerence V. Cummings (Ann,) and Calvin L. Cummings (Darnell); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. -The Family may be contacted at 2288 Arrowwood Drive. -Bentley and Sons Funeral Home, Macon, GA.
